The cocktail piano was played by a fellow named Marty Thau, who was a entrepreneur of sorts on the NY scene. He played it against a stock recording of a "party." The idea was supposed to be the anti-climax to the earth being destroyed by giant alien ants. A bit of dark cynical humor. I am impressed that you have made an effort to find out. Best, Gary.
